Millennial Voting

Millennials and Post-Millennials were urged to be present at the polls this year. MTSU students exercise their right to vote in the 2018 Midterm Election. The future of politic is in their hands.

Script:

I defiantly feel like this midterm elections is one of the best we’ve ever had. Its defiantly the most advertised.

Um, absolutely I think that its important for everyone that lives in the county that they are voting for to vote because the things that we’re voting on with the different candidates, those are the things that are going to be affecting those people as well.

Think of an election, it has four aspects to an election. Registrations, education, motivation, and facilitation. Those are the four legs to that race horse.

So, registering is what I and the American democracy project and others around the university were trying to do earlier.

Asking people have you registered did you register here? Because I was faculty here and I was a student here and I know how bad the parking is.

So, a student might say, it’s election day but I have class. If I leave to go vote I might lose my spot or say I don’t have a car or I don’t want walk to a closest poll location at Central Magnet school stand in line, vote, then walk back here. So, I’m trying to take all those excuses, because that’s what they are, away from them.
